Music, Ballet Dancing & Choir
Music is at the heart of ABAA. From the moment learners arrive each morning, song fills our classrooms and corridors. Our performing arts programme covers school choir, traditional Ugandan dance, ballet, and modern dance — each taught by experienced instructors.
As seen on our @abaapreparatory Instagram and @abaa10 TikTok, our learners light up the stage at every event — from graduation ceremonies to termly concerts. Ballet classes (for girls and boys) are among our most popular offerings, developing grace, posture, coordination, and confidence.
Graceful ballet classes from Nursery 3 upwards. Costumes provided for annual recitals.
Our multi-voice choir performs at assemblies, sports days, graduation, and competitions.
Ugandan traditional dances and modern choreography celebrate our rich cultural heritage.
Traditional drumming sessions develop rhythm, coordination, and cultural appreciation.
Piano Lessons & Cookery Classes
Two of our most beloved programmes — directly from ABAA's own website. Skills that stay with children for life.
Lessons 🎹
ABAA offers both one-on-one and group piano lessons taught by a qualified music instructor. Piano training develops memory, mathematical thinking, concentration, and creative expression — skills that transfer directly to academic performance.
Our piano studio is equipped with quality keyboards. Annual recitals give learners a beautiful platform to perform for their families and the school.
- Qualified piano instructor — certified music training
- Individual & group sessions available
- Annual Christmas concert performance
- Graded from beginner to intermediate levels
- Available from Nursery 3 through Primary 7
Classes 👨🍳
ABAA's cookery programme (listed directly on our school website) teaches children real kitchen skills in a safe, supervised environment. Learners discover nutrition, food hygiene, measuring, and the joy of preparing a meal from scratch.
From simple salads to Ugandan staple dishes, cookery classes build independence, responsibility, teamwork, and a love for healthy eating from an early age.
- Real school kitchen — safe and fully equipped
- Nutrition education woven into every session
- Kitchen safety taught first — always
- Ugandan & international dishes explored
- Termly family cook-off event for parents
Swimming — Safety First, Excellence Always
ABAA's on-campus swimming pool hosts one of the most comprehensive school swimming programmes in Wakiso District. Every learner receives structured instruction from a qualified swimming coach, starting with water safety and building progressively through stroke technique.
Swimming is scheduled into the school timetable — not just an after-school add-on. From Baby Class splash sessions to competitive gala preparation for P5–P7 learners, the pool is in constant use.
Water confidence, splashing, floating with support, breath control.
Freestyle basics, kicking, buoyancy, 10m unaided swim.
All four strokes, diving, 50m laps, water safety certification.
Gala preparation, racing technique, relay, timed trials.

Computer Lab, Arts & Values Education
A complete education reaches beyond sport and music. These three pillars develop digital skills, creative expression, and moral character.
Computer Tutorials
Our 30-seat computer laboratory gives every learner hands-on access to technology from Primary 1. Lessons are timetabled weekly and taught by a qualified ICT teacher.
Arts & Crafts
Creative arts at ABAA is more than drawing — it's an exploration of self-expression, problem-solving, and beauty. Our dedicated arts programme develops fine motor skills, imagination, and confidence.
Bible & Quran Lessons
ABAA is a multi-faith institution. As stated on our school website, we offer both Bible and Quran lessons — creating a values-centred environment where all faiths are respected and celebrated equally.
Garden
School Garden & Environmental Education
ABAA's school garden is more than a patch of earth — it's a living classroom. Directly listed on our school website, gardening at ABAA teaches children science, ecology, nutrition, and the deep satisfaction of growing something with their own hands.
The school garden grows vegetables (tomatoes, kale, cabbages, beans), fruit trees, medicinal herbs, and flowers. Learners rotate through the garden weekly, keeping a garden diary that integrates with science and environmental studies lessons.
Learners plant, tend, harvest, and even cook what they grow in cookery class.
Environmental responsibility is taught through composting food waste and recycling school materials.
Learners document plant growth, weather patterns, and scientific observations week by week.
